Collaborating with The International Rescue Committee/New Roots, Building Goodness, and Bike & Build, we completed the 5th Street Community Garden Project! This garden not only supports food security but also offers a haven for local refugees to cultivate crops from their native lands, enabling them to preserve a feeling of home and cultural attachment. We are grateful to be a part of such a positive initiative in our community.
5th Street Community Garden
Design Electric, Inc. collaborated with Building Goodness Foundation and International Rescue Committee in Charlottesville, building a new fence for The 5th Street Community Garden! In phase one of this project, we installed treated posts, donated by Madison Wood Preservers, using equipment that was kindly provided at a discounted rate by Sunbelt Rentals. A big thanks to all who came out and supported this initiative! Saturday was a beautiful example of what can happen when the community comes together!
