    Position Overview:

    We are seeking a motivated Commercial Electrical Helper to join our team full-time in Charlottesville, VA. Reporting to the Foreman or Superintendent, you will assist with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in a commercial environment. The ideal candidate demonstrates a willingness to learn, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety.

    Pay Range: $17.50 - $19.00 per hour

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist in installing or repairing electrical materials, devices, fixtures, and equipment.

    • Measure and cut conduit, Unistrut, and other materials accurately using a tape measure and bandsaw.

    • Learn to bend conduit, install couplings, connectors, and fabricate support hangers for conduit or cable trays.

    • Pull wires through conduit for branch and feeder circuits.

    • Safely operate hand and power tools, ladders, and basic equipment.

    • Maintain a clean, organized workspace and responsibly manage tools and materials.

    • Follow supervisor instructions and ask for clarification when necessary.

    • Attend job site briefings, safety meetings, and participate in stretch and flex routines.

    What We’re Looking For:

    • Basic understanding of hand and power tools and their safe usage.

    • Ability to read a tape measure accurately.

    • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work indoors and outdoors in various conditions.

    • Willingness to attend an electrical apprenticeship program or equivalent on-the-job training (OJT).

    • Strong work ethic, dependability, and commitment to safety and teamwork.

    Position Overview:

    We are seeking a motivated Experienced Commercial Electrician Helper to join our team full-time in Charlottesville, VA. Reporting to the Foreman or Superintendent, you will assist in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial settings. The ideal candidate has 1-2 years of commercial electrical experience, is dedicated to safety, and is eager to learn and take on more responsibility.

    Pay Range: $20 - $22 per hour

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist with installing, maintaining, and testing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.

    • Measure, cut, bend, and install conduit and other materials.

    • Pull wires through conduits and terminate them in panels and transformers.

    • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical system issues using hand tools and test equipment.

    • Mentor new helpers and ensure a safe and efficient work environment.

    What We’re Looking For:

    • 1-2 years of commercial electrical experience.

    • Electrical apprenticeship preferred.

    • Proficiency with electrical tools and the National Electrical Code (NEC).

    • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

    • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in various conditions.

    • A Journeyman (preferred) with 4-6 years of commercial electrical experience

    Job Summary:
    The Experienced Tower Climber Helper will assist the Tech or Crew Lead in installing or repairing wireless materials and equipment and take direction from wireless project Tech, Crew Leader, or Foreman.

    Duties/Responsibilities

    • Measure and cut materials accurately with bandsaws or saw-zalls.

    • Install basic supports, hangers, grounds, and fiber for wireless installations.

    • Fabricate and install support systems for Coax/Hybrid lines.

    • Install communication lines, antennas, and supports on towers and ground components.

    • Operate or learn to operate basic heavy equipment.

    • Work from ladders, scaffolds, roofs, and other equipment to install and maintain electrical wiring for wireless sites.

    • Possess and use all necessary tools for job tasks.

    • Retain and apply advanced and basic instructions, materials knowledge, and construction drawing symbols.

    • Review material and tool requirements for projects.

    • Advise new helpers on daily setup and cleanup procedures.

    • Ensure work areas are locked and cleaned up.

    • Take responsibility for accurate task installation and management.

    • Arrive early, ready to work, and wear personal protective equipment (PPE).

    • Mentor new helpers on job responsibilities.

    • Communicate with Tech, Crew Lead, or Foreman regarding any questions.

    • Review weekly learnings and areas for improvement.

    • Notify supervisors of material or tool issues for the next two weeks.

    • Attend and participate in job site briefings, safety meetings, and consultations, and deliver safety briefings during Toolbox Talk.

    • Review and reflect on assigned duties.

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

    • Must have a valid driver’s license.

    • Must have a minimum of 1 year experience.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    • Follow instructions and seek clarifications when needed.

    • Can follow instructions and the willingness to ask for clarifications. 

    • Use hand tools safely and demonstrate ladder safety, including inspection and carrying.

    • Physical Requirements:

    • Must be willing and able to climb towers to heights of 500’

    • Must be able to handle physical demands of installation of equipment, which may include lifting up to 50 pounds at times.

    • Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
